It was on Buda Kliwon Dungulan, Saka Year 804 or around 882 AD. Since then Galungan Day has always been celebrated annually in Bali.

It is the tradition of parading barong around the temple accompanied by the drum and kenong. Ngelawang Barong is usually done by children. Balinese believe that this Bali activities keep people away from reinforcements and dangers.

Whereas in various other areas such as Petilan Temple in Kesiman Village, you will see traditions such as debus. Local people stab themselves using a ceremonial knife. This tradition is called Ngurek. This event is very exciting for you who like to have unique Bali private tours.
